Memorial Tiles

A permanent place at the post for the people this town sent overseas.

What a tile is

A memorial tile is engraved with a veteran's name and service, and set permanently at the post. It is a public record that someone from this community served, and a place a family can come and stand.

Tiles honor veterans living and deceased. A tile is not only a memorial — plenty of them were dedicated by families for someone still very much around.

Who can dedicate one

Anyone. Families, friends, employers, and members all dedicate tiles. The veteran does not need to have been a member of this post, and does not need any connection to the VFW.

How to dedicate a tile

Call the post and we will walk you through it. You will need the veteran's name, branch of service, and the years or conflict you would like recorded. We will confirm the exact wording with you before anything is engraved.

Take the time to get spellings, ranks, and dates right. A tile is permanent, and a name spelled wrong on one is a hard thing to fix.
